Bio

Carol L. Grieb, MSN, APN-C, WHNP-BC is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with the Delaware Center for Maternal Fetal Medicine of Christiana Care. Carol has worked in the field of Women’s Health since 1996. Carol completed her Bachelor of Nursing Degree from Widener University in 1995, where she was the recipient of the Betty Weyn Award for Care of the Child-Rearing Family. Carol began her nursing career at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where she worked as a Registered Nurse on the high-risk Antepartum/Postpartum/Newborn Nursery unit. In 2008, she transferred to Pennsylvania Hospital where she became certified as an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, providing education, assistance, and support to breastfeeding mothers in both the postpartum and neonatal intensive care units. In 2010, she was offered and accepted the role of Registered Nurse Perinatal Coordinator for Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital, where her love of Maternal-Fetal Medicine was born. Her time in MFM was spent coordinating, managing, and educating Gestational Diabetes patients, along with following all high-risk patients in the office. In conjunction, Carol served as Clinical Adjunct Nursing Faculty at both Delaware County Community College and Widener University from 2010-2015, where she educated and mentored undergraduate nursing students in the inpatient setting. In 2017, Carol made the decision to pursue her Master of Science in Nursing for Women’s Health and Gender-Related Studies at Drexel University, where she was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau – Nu Eta Chapter of the International Honor Society of Nursing and was the recipient of the Independence Blue Cross Nurses for Tomorrow Graduate Scholarship. Carol graduated from Drexel University in June 2020 and became Board Certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in July 2020. In addition, Carol is a member of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health, the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses, and is certified in Limited Third Trimester Obstetric Ultrasounds.

Carol and her husband, Drew, reside in Delaware County, Pennsylvania along with their two children, Andrew and Alison. Carol loves spending time with her family, is a huge Philadelphia sports fan, and enjoys her time off at the beach.
