About Dr. Marisa Gilstrop Thompson

Dr. Gilstrop Thompson is a physician with the Delaware Center for Maternal and Fetal Medicine of Christiana Care. Dr. Gilstrop Thompson is board certified in both specialties of Maternal Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology. In addition to her clinical role with the practice, Dr. Gilstrop Thompson also work in the Genetics program at Christiana Care.

Dr. Gilstrop Thompson received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. She then completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at our very own Christiana Care Health System. She came to the practice after finishing her combined fellowship in both Clinical Genetics and Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. She has published both peer-reviewed and educational articles, with many more still in progress.
